A clinical study performed on 13 women with post-pregnancy stretch marks used 2 percent Regestril on the affected areas for 2 months. On average, the color, indentation, and width of the stretch marks was reduced by more than 20 percent. Seventy percent of the women involved saw a measurable improvement in their stretch marks. Ultrasound echography was used to measure the skin thickness and scar depth, and revealed a ten percent increase in skin thickness and a 70 percent decrease in the depth of scarring. Skin was visibly thicker, smoother, and healthier looking as a result of using Regestril.
Darutoside™
An expired patent by Pierre Fabre Medicaments showed how Darutoside stimulates wound healing, leading to tissue renewal and the restoration of skin elasticity. The appearance of scars is significantly reduced and collagen fibres take on a more orderly appearance (rather than the fractioned disarray one finds with scarring).

Uses highly purified glycopeptides from soya to boost collagen synthesis. A relative newcomer to the skincare industry, the makers of the product (independent French company Silab) claim that Pro-Coll-One+ can stimulate the synthesis of collagen I (the body’s most common form of collagen) in healthy human fibroblasts by 1190%.
In a 56-day study, participants applied the ingredient at a 2% concentration twice daily. The surface roughness of skin was reduced by an average of almost 10%. Seventy-eight percent of participants cited a noticeable difference in the smoothness of their skin.

Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract: Extracted from lotus leaf, it works to sooth inflammation and preserve the architecture of the extracellular matrix (the non-living tissue that supports the skin cells), which is made largely of proteins. Nelumbo Nucifera contains a substantial quantity of a protein-repair enzyme called Lisoaspartyl methyltransferase. For skincare, it is known to reduce the appearance of skin surface irregularities and works to both hydrate and tighten the skin. Has been clinically proven to reduce acne scarring. Commonly used to treat the appearance of cellulite.
Rutin: Rutin is a bioflavonoid found in many plants, fruits, and vegetables, including buckwheat, apple peel, citrus fruits and black tea. It has powerful antioxidant properties and also stabilizes vitamin C, making it more potent. Together, Rutin and vitamin C (as strong antioxidants) fight free radical damage and thereby help maintain a stronger collagen matrix. Rutin strengthens capillaries and has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. It is known to inhibit the body’s production of histamine, which is desirable because histamine production interrupts normal production of collagen and elastin.
Palmitoyl Oligopeptide: A relatively new peptide that is being compared to retinol, but without the side effects. Peptides are known to aid skin repair and renewal. Palmitoyl Oligopeptide is a man-made peptide that is actually a fragment of collagen attached to palmitic acid. The palmitic acid makes the peptide more stable and enhances its ability to bind to the skin. Palmitoyl Oligopeptide has been shown to increase production of collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, and glucosaminoglycan.
Caprylic Capric Triglycerides: Protects against moisture loss while soothing and softening skin. It is colorless, odorless, and safe for sensitive skin. It goes on smoothly and is rapidly absorbed by the skin, with a light, non-oily texture.
Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7: Together with Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (also included in the formulation), it’s a powerful connective tissue booster, improving collagen and elastin production so the skin can heal itself. Hydrolyzed Soybean Fiber: Renews fibroblast activity to increase collagen production. Composed primarily of amino acids, peptides, and proteins, soy extract is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It contains a polypeptide that is responsible for its significant moisturizing properties.
Panthenol: A derivative of vitamin B5, or pantothenic acid, that is typically plant-derived. Sodium Lactate: Acts as a penetration enhancer that alters the skin structure to allow other ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin.
